Attack on Miguel Uribe: Julio César Turbay, the senator's uncle, said he is "very delicate" and asks for prayers.
Julio César Turbay Quintero, Miguel Uribe Turbay's uncle, confirmed this Sunday, June 8, that the senator and presidential candidate "is in very poor condition" and asked Colombians to pray for his health.
After visiting his nephew at the Santa Fe Foundation in Bogotá, the former senator and former comptroller general of the Republic stated that there is no medical report on Miguel Uribe's health, but a new medical report is expected.

Turbay took advantage of his meeting with the media to call for the rejection of hatred and violence.
Prognosis remains guarded
The Democratic Center senator has been in the Intensive Care Unit of the Santa Fe Foundation in Bogotá since the evening of Saturday, June 7, after receiving initial medical attention at the Medicentro clinic in the western part of the country's capital.
On Saturday night, he underwent a successful neurosurgical and peripheral vascular procedure. The next step is to see how he progresses.

"The Santa Fe Bogotá Foundation, with the family's permission, is pleased to report that patient Miguel Uribe Turbay was admitted to the emergency room in critical condition last night (Saturday, June 7). After all the evaluations were carried out by various specialists, he was immediately taken into surgery to perform initial damage control," begins the official statement from the entity issued on the morning of this Sunday, June 8.
The aforementioned medical center announced that it would issue a new medical report—the third—on the candidate's health this Sunday, but it appears the new statement will be released this Monday, June 9.

It should be remembered that Uribe, who is 39 years old, received one of the shots to his head.
Throughout this Sunday, outside the Santa Fe Foundation in Bogotá, supporters and ordinary citizens held an "orathon" to demand Uribe Turbay's recovery.
Authorities carried out two raids
This media outlet learned that two key raids were carried out in Bogotá in recent hours, amid the investigation into the attack on Uribe Turbay. The judicial proceedings were carried out by specialized units of the Dijín and Sijín, seeking to establish possible links between the 14-year-old minor captured after the attack and criminal organizations that may be involved.
The raids were carried out at the homes of relatives of the alleged hitman, who is a minor. One of the searches took place at the home of the minor's grandmother, where he lives, and the other at the home of an aunt.
Any evidence collected will be analyzed by intelligence and could open new avenues for investigation into the case.
